FUND-RAISER Poland Rotary schedules chilly golf outing



Golfers will have an opportunity to vie for a variety of prizes.
POLAND -- Area golfers will participate in the annual Chili Open Golf Outing to be sponsored by Poland Rotary Club.
The nine-hole event will be held Saturday at Reserve Run Golf Course, 625 E. Western Reserve Road. Play will begin with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.
The entrance fee is $25 and includes breakfast, lunch and refreshments throughout the day. In addition to prizes donated by area businesses, golfers will have the opportunity to compete for prizes of $500 cash, $500 worth of groceries, and a man's diamond ring to be awarded for closest to the pin on three designated holes.

Among the organizations that benefit from the Rotary fund-raisers are: American Diabetes Association, American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, Boys and Girls Clubs, CASA, Easter Seals, Help Hotline, Hospice, Mill Creek Children's Center, Paula and Anthony Rich Center, Poland Interfaith Pantry, Potential Development Center, Sojourner House, Youngstown Hearing and Speech Center, Second Harvest Food Bank, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Mission of Love and the YMCA DA children.

Poland Rotary is an organization of business and professional leaders who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, address various community and international service needs and encourage peace and understanding throughout the world.
The organization meets at noon each Wednesday in the banquet room at Bruno's Restaurant, Route 224.
