HUBBARD -- Jesus is the Way World Outreach Ministries, 319 Goldie Road, Youngstown, will sponsor a Christian family fellowship banquet at 6:30 p.m. March 3 at the Brentford House, 737 Myron St. Elder prophet Montell McCoy, who attends New Jersalem Fellowship of Warren, will speak. Visitors' Sunday
EAST PALESTINE -- Grace Lutheran Church, corner of Grant and Walnut streets, will host visitors' Sunday this weekend. Sunday school for children is at 9:30 a.m. and worship at 10:45. There will be a children's sermon and music by the choir and Hand Chime Choir. A fellowship time will follow.
Mission at church
McDONALD -- The Rev. James E. McKarns will preach the Isaiah 43 minimission, "Healing and Sending Forth," from 7 to 9 p.m. March 5 and 6 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 618 Ohio Ave. Donations will be taken for the Christian Foundation for Children and Aging. Father McKarns, pastor emeritus of St. Paul Church, North Canton, preaches parish missions for Isaiah Ministry. He is author of numerous books and articles on scripture and spirituality. He also conducts retreats and days of spiritual reflection.
Message and meditation
CANFIELD -- Youngstown Spiritual Society will host a message and meditation service from 10 to 11 a.m. Sunday at the Ursuline Center, 4300 Shields Road. Vince Lisi will present a teaching titled, "I Used to Be of the World," followed by meditation and shared prayer.
Bible course is offered
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Rev. Dr. D. Larry Kline, pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church, 30 W. Front St., will teach an eight-week Bible course, "Invitation to the New Testament." Sessions will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays, March 7-May 2. Books for the study are available at the church; call (330) 744-5032. Participants should take a sack lunch, and dessert will be provided.
'Nurse Chat' planned
MINERAL RIDGE -- The health ministries committee of First Presbyterian Church of Mineral Ridge, 3654 N., Main St., will sponsor a "Nurse Chat" at noon Feb. 26. Atty. Joseph D. Bible olympics
HOWLAND -- Howland Community Church, 198 Niles-Cortland Road, will sponsor a Bible olympics from 10 a.m. to noon Feb. 25 for children in kindergarten through fifth grades. Children will compete in games with a Bible theme. The cost is $5. For information call the church at (330) 856-3628.
Testimony night
CANFIELD -- A testimony night is planned at 7 p.m. Feb. 27 at Lifecare Ministry Center, Lucille Orr Ministry, 5357 Raccoon Road. Guest speaker will be Bill DiPaolo, a former Youngstown city firefighter, who has a prayer ministry.
Service at center
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Place Where the Lord Provides Christian Center, 104 W. Evergreen Ave., will hold a Shabbat service at 6 p.m. March 3. Sid Roth will speak on Jesus.
Retreat for women
CANFIELD -- GodQuest will sponsor a Christian silent retreat for women from March 31-April 2 at the Ursuline Center. The program will include group worship, spiritual direction and written information. Leaders of the nondenominational event will be Donna Lewis of Mount Vernon and Doris Fuson of Uniontown. The cost is $150 and includes two days' lodging, two meals and program. Registration deadline is March 10.
