Carrie Roscoe, Matthew Brumit to wed in autumn



XCORTLAND -- Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Roscoe, 3669 Dunbar Lane, are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Carrie Lynn Roscoe, 169 W. Main St., and Matthew James Brumit, a son of Ms. Cheryl Brumit, 547 Boyd Ave., Akron, and the late James Brumit.
Miss Roscoe is a seventh- and eighth-grade reading teacher at Grand Valley Middle School, Orwell. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in secondary education from Youngstown State University, where she is pursuing a master's in education.
Mr. Brumit was pursuing a bachelor's degree in education at YSU before he was drafted by the New York Yankees Baseball Team. He is a pitcher with Washington Wild Things in Washington, Pa., and in the off-season is a pitching instructor at Brownlee's Baseball Academy in Medina.
The couple will extend invitations for their Oct. 14 wedding at St. Robert Church and for their reception at Garden Brook Banquet Center.
