Feb. 8
Arrest: An employee at Boardman Glenwood Middle School, 7635 Glenwood Ave., told police a pupil was in possession of a knife.
Theft: An item was stolen from the DHL store in the Southern Park Mall.
Burglary: A woman in the 80 block of Melbourne Avenue found out someone entered her residence through an unlocked door.
Unauthorized use of a vehicle: An employee at X-Press Rent-a-Car, 4280 Lake Park Road, reported someone failed to return a vehicle.
Assault: A Boardman man told officers three men assaulted him while he was at Kids Town, 7398 Market St.
Identity fraud: A Palestine Avenue man reported someone used his last name and address to secure a cellular phone account.
Theft: A woman discovered $120 had been stolen from her while she was at Steak-N-Shake, 6786 Applewood Blvd.
Assault: Officers took a 26-year-old man into custody at his Glen Park Drive home and charged him with assault after a woman there reported being assaulted.
Arrest: After trying to stop a car near Zedaker Street, police arrested a Youngstown man, 23, on charges of trafficking in drugs (crack cocaine), carrying a concealed weapon, failure to comply with the orders of a police officer, resisting arrest and obstructing official business. Authorities say they found the man hiding behind a truck after he fled from the car, that he was in possession of a large amount of suspected crack cocaine, and that he tossed a gun from the vehicle.
Drugs: After responding to a call of a vehicle in a ditch, police arrested a 21-year-old Boardman man. He was charged with possession of drugs (marijuana) and operating a vehicle under the influence after officers say they found a plastic container with suspected marijuana in the rear seat.

Recovered property: A worker at X-Press Rent-a-Car said a vehicle that had been reported stolen was returned and the bill paid.
Theft: A woman shopping at Marc's, 7121 Tiffany Blvd., noticed her purse missing from a shopping cart.
Aggravated menacing: A Boardman man reported being threatened over the phone while at FedEx Kinko's, 48 Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft/vandalism: A worker at South Avenue Cycle, 7661 South Ave., noticed a vending machine outside the business had been broken into and money removed.
Aggravated robbery: An employee at a Shell True North station, 7598 Market St., reported the business was robbed. No other information was in the report.
Criminal damage: A Boardman woman reported her vehicle was intentionally damaged while she was at Cellular One, 8089 South Ave.
Theft: A Youngstown man reported the theft of his wallet while he was at Best Buy, 561 Boardman-Poland Road.
Bad check: An employee at J. Lawrence for Men, 813 Boardman-Poland Road, reported getting a check written on a closed account.
Arrest: Police took a 27-year-old Minerva, Ohio, man into custody after finding out he was wanted on three warrants from Boardman. He faced two felony counts each of forgery and receiving stolen property as well as a misdemeanor count of domestic violence.
Theft: A girl, 14, and a woman, 21, both from Youngstown, faced theft charges after a theft at Gabriel Bros., 850 Boardman-Poland Road. The woman also was wanted on a warrant from Campbell charging her with probation violation.
Arrest: Officers apprehended a 20-year-old Boardman man in the 6100 block of Market Street who was wanted on a felony warrant from Austintown. The charge was domestic violence.
Arrest: Police arrested a 21-year-old Youngstown man near Zedaker Street. He was wanted on a warrant from Youngstown charging him with theft.
Arrest: Police apprehended a Youngstown man, 25, in Campbell after a pursuit that began near Midlothian Boulevard and Shirley Road. The suspect was charged with fleeing and eluding police, resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia; he also was wanted on a felony warrant charging him with three counts of possession of cocaine.

Drugs: While assisting fire officials with a medical emergency in the 4800 block of Market Street, police arrested a 42-year-old Canfield man on charges of possession of drugs, a felony, possession of drug paraphernalia and having no operator's license, both misdemeanors.
Theft: An employee at Masco Electric, 825 Bev Road, reported a laptop computer was stolen.
Fraud: A woman in the 200 block of Indianola Road told police her debit card account was accessed by someone in Spain.
Theft: Merchandise was stolen from Fred Meyer Jewelers in the Southern Park Mall.
Theft/criminal damage: A man in the 1900 block of Wolosyn Circle reported his vehicle damaged and a stereo taken.
Criminal damage: A man accused a former tenant of damaging rental property in the 200 block of Washington Boulevard.
Auto theft/recovered property: A vehicle was found after a Youngstown man reported it stolen from the Southern Park Mall.
Burglary: A man in the 100 block of Meadowbrook Avenue discovered his home was broken into.
Burglary: A man discovered his home in the 4000 block of South Avenue had been entered.
Drugs: During a traffic stop near Market Street and Midlothian Boulevard, police arrested two Youngstown men, 24 and 25, respectively. One was charged with aggravated trafficking, carrying a concealed weapon and illegal possession of a firearm, all felonies; the other suspect faced felony charges of carrying a concealed weapon, trafficking in drugs and possession of drugs. Officers say they found a bag of suspected cocaine and a handgun in the car.
Arrest: Police arrested a 27-year-old Youngstown man near South Avenue and Mathews Road after police learned he was wanted on a warrant from Youngstown charging him with domestic violence.
Theft: After merchandise was stolen from Sears in the Southern Park Mall, a 51-year-old Youngstown woman faced one count of theft.
Arrest: Police took a woman, 19, into custody at her Melbourne Avenue residence. She was charged with offenses involving underage people.

Misuse of a credit card: A Youngstown woman found out her credit card from Dillard's in the Southern Park Mall was used to make unauthorized purchases.
Theft/unauthorized use of a vehicle: A woman staying at the Boardman Inn, 7109 Market St., said her car was used without permission and that items were stolen from it.
Theft: A man in the 7400 block of Huntington Drive reported mail was removed from his mailbox.
Auto theft: A Youngstown man called police after realizing his wife's vehicle had been stolen while he was at the Southern Park Mall.
Criminal damage: A woman came out of Panera Bread, 377 Boardman-Poland Road, and found damage to her car.
Vandalism: Police were called after someone tampered with a mailbox in the 700 block of Squirrel Hill Drive and the box exploded.
Domestic violence: A Boardman man, 25, faced a domestic-violence charge after a Brandon Avenue woman alleged the family member grabbed her around the throat and pushed her during an argument.
Arrest: A 47-year-old Youngstown woman was picked up on a warrant from Boardman charging her with domestic violence. A man told police he had been threatened over the phone.
Feb. 12
Theft: A man in the 5500 block of Southern Boulevard discovered a power washer was taken from his garage.
Burglary: A man returned to his residence in the 4000 block of South Avenue and found it had been broken into. Stolen were a 27-inch TV, a Surround Sound amplifier, a Sony PlayStation 2 system with seven games and a designer knife.
Theft: A Boardman woman reported her mink coat stolen while she attended services at St. John's Greek Orthodox Church, 4955 Glenwood Ave.
Theft: Police arrested a 50-year-old Maple Heights, Ohio, man on a theft charge after cologne was stolen from Kaufmann's in the Southern Park Mall.
Breaking and entering: Someone broke into the Hometown Buffet, 387 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Theft: A worker at Best Buy reported various computer accessories were taken and not paid for.
Vandalism: A woman in 80 block of Sugar Cane Drive reported someone blew up her mailbox.
Breaking and entering: An employee at Auntie Anne's in the Southern Park Mall told officers someone pried open a storage room door and took three wallets from workers' purses.
