VALLEY OFFICE SOLUTIONS New product poised to go nationwide



BOARDMAN -- Steve Blakeman, president of Valley Office Solutions, said 2005 was a watershed year in his business's 22-year history.
The firm, formerly known as Valley Office Equipment, changed its name April 1. Blakeman said the new name better reflects the nature of the company's business.
"Following a complete evaluation of each individual customer's specific needs, we develop solutions -- that is, the particular mix of products and services that will best meet those individual needs," he said.
While networking services and sales and service of office equipment remain a core part of Valley Office's business, a big step last year was the introduction of FileMax, the company's exclusive digitally based document imaging, archiving and retrieval system.
"This is by far the single biggest opportunity we've ever had, and we're very excited about it," Blakeman said. "We're talking about a Valley-based offering that is poised to become a nationwide product -- one that can be used by businesses ranging from multi-national corporations to mom-and-pop operations."
