BINGO AND CARDS
Daughters of Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 421 Covington St., Youngstown, will hold a bingo and card party from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday. Lunch will be served. Admission is $4 for adults and $2 for children.
CRAFT SHOWS
Artists, crafters and vendors are being sought for participation in "Arts and Crafts at the Garden" show to be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 20 on the grounds of the Trumbull County Agriculture and Family Education Center, West Main Street, Cortland. Sponsoring the event are Cortland Specialty Shops and Trumbull County Master Gardeners. Master gardeners will be selling perennials and other plants from their own gardens and from the County Extension display garden. The day will also feature garden talks, craft demonstrations, food and entertainment. DANCES
Boardman Community Center, Boardman Township Park, will sponsor a Father-Daughter Princess Dance from 6 to 9 p.m. Feb. 17 and 18 for girls age 6 to 12 and their fathers or guardians. Tickets for the semiformal dinner and dance must be purchased prior to the event at the park office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday for either night. Checks should be made payable to Boardman Park. Call-in reservations will not be accepted, and no tickets will be sold at the door. Cost is $30 per couple for Boardman residents and $40 per couple for nonresidents. Cost for each additional child is $15.
St. Jude Youth Ministry will hold a community intergenerational valentine dinner and dance from 6 to 11 p.m. Saturday at St. Jude Activity Center, Seventh Street, Columbiana. The 6 p.m. dinner will be catered, and music from 8 to 11 p.m. will be by a disc jockey. Tickets are $15 a person; those 3 and under will be admitted free. Curves facilities in Mahoning Valley are sponsoring a valentine paper product drive through Feb. 20 as a benefit for Beatitude House. Children's Rehabilitation Center, 885 Howland-Wilson Road, Warren, will hold its annual "Reds, Whites and Blues" from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday at the Avalon Inn Garden Pavilion. The event will feature complimentary wines, hors d'oeuvres and music. A live auction will be held in addition to silent and Chinese auctions. Junior Women's League of Canfield will hold a wine and cheese taste as a benefit for Second Harvest Food Bank from 5 to 8 p.m. Feb. 25 at Antone's Banquet Center, 8578 Market St., Boardman. Wines from area wineries will be sampled, and there will be gourmet cheeses and other hors d'oeuvres. LECTURES
Roberta's Gallery of Fine Art, 8 S. Main St., Columbiana, will sponsor its second in a series of brown-bag lectures at 12:15 p.m. Feb. 15. The program, "Art in the Family," will be presented by Judy Pezdir and Jill Palermo, mother and daughter artists, who will discuss their differing styles and show examples of their artwork. Those attending are reminded to take a brown-bag lunch. Beverages will be provided. NIGHT AT THE RACES
Heller, Maas, Moro and Magill Co., LPA, Relay for Life Team will present a Night at the Races Feb. 17 at DiLucia's Banquet Room, 2610 Elm Road, Warren. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., dinner is at 6 and the races at 7. The dinner ticket is $12 and includes a light buffet, beer and pop and a cash bar. The donation is $20 per horse, 10 races, 10 horses each. All non-profit groups are invited to participate in a garage sale to be sponsored by La Fleur Garden Club from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 4 at Ursuline Mother House, Shields Road, Boardman. Springfield Band Boosters will hold a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Petersburg Fire Station 22, state Route 170, Petersburg.
