Intruder ties couple, forces sex act

YOUNGSTOWN — Ivory Young, 19, of Woodford Avenue is charged with rape, aggravated burglary and receiving stolen property following his Saturday night arrest.

A West Indianola Avenue woman reported that a man came to her home earlier Saturday, and she allowed him inside to use her telephone. The man pulled a gun, forced her into the basement and tied her up. The intruder then forced her husband, who was asleep, into the basement and also tied him.

The intruder then forced the woman at gunpoint to perform a sex act.

He then took the victims’ car, $300 cash, her cell phone and some identification cards, the victims told police.

Young was arrested at about 9 p.m. when police found him inside a car at Zedaker Street and East Florida Avenue matching the description of the stolen vehicle, and found the victims’ identification cards in his pockets, police said.
