Weather cooperates for outdoor work
Above-normal temperatures have given workers the chance to make upgrades to downtown Youngstown buildings. Above, Dave Monroe, left, and David Lamoureaux, both of Niles Mirror & amp; Glass Co., were at work Thursday installing new windows on the first floor of the Home Savings and Loan Co. building. The building is undergoing a 300,000 face-lift, which also includes renovations to the lobby and new entrance doors. Below left, Dave Grima, a carpenter employed by Kreidler Construction, looks over the new letters for the marquee at Edward W. Powers Auditorium at the DeYor Performing Arts Center. At right, Jim Beverly, another carpenter with Kreidler, puts on the new letters.
