NBA ROUNDUP | Wednesday's other games
Lakers 106, Magic 93
ORLANDO, Fla. -- Kobe Bryant scored 27 points and Smush Parker added a season-high 20 for the Lakers. It was the third loss in a row for the struggling Magic, and the Lakers' third win on a tough six-game road trip.
Rockets 96, Nets 71
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Shane Battier hit a career-high seven 3-pointers and scored 23 points, and the Rockets limited the Nets to 33 percent shooting. Tracy McGrady added 17 points and six assists, while fellow guard Rafer Alston had 14 points, seven rebounds and five assists for the Rockets.
Wizards 114, Bobcats 107
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Gilbert Arenas scored 39 points and outdueled Gerald Wallace down the stretch as the Wizards won their fourth straight. Arenas had a 3-pointer, a backdoor layup and drew a charge that fouled out Raymond Felton in the final four minutes for the Wizards, who became the first NBA team in 12 seasons to score 106 or more points in 12 consecutive games.
Raptors 100, Timberwolves 97
TORONTO -- T.J. Ford scored 28 points to lead Toronto. Anthony Parker added 19 points for the Atlantic Division-leading Raptors, who are 6-4 without leading scorer Chris Bosh (left knee injury).
Bucks 112, Grizzlies 96
MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Andrew Bogut and Michael Redd each scored 20 points, and the Bucks beat the Grizzlies for their sixth straight win. Milwaukee is on its longest winning streak in four years. Meanwhile, the Grizzlies have lost five in a row and 14 of 16.
Bulls 109, Heat 103
CHICAGO -- Ben Gordon scored a career-high 40 points off the bench to lead the Bulls over the short-handed Miami Heat, who lost Dwyane Wade to a sprained wrist in the first quarter. Gordon became the first Bulls player to score 40 points in a game since Michael Jordan also had 40 on April 5, 1998, at Houston. The Heat played most of the game without Wade, who sprained his right wrist midway through the first.
Knicks 151, Pistons 145, 3OT
NEW YORK -- Channing Frye forced the third overtime with a buzzer-beating jumper, Jamal Crawford took over from there and the Knicks outlasted the Pistons. Crawford finished with 29 points, nine in the third overtime. He carried the Knicks after Stephon Marbury fouled out with a season-high 41 points in the second extra period.
