Werners mark 50th anniversary at family dinner



BROOKFIELD -- Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Werner of Brookfield, who were married Dec. 21, 1956, at Vienna United Methodist Church, were honored Dec. 17 during a family dinner held at Tara in Clark, Pa., in celebration of their 50th anniversary.
Hosts for the event were the couple's children and their spouses, Linda and Dan Deem of Vandalia; Brian Werner and Kim Burns of Carol Stream, Ill.; Brenda and John Martin of Brookfield; and Marsha and Mike Nashtock of South Pymatuning, Pa. Also participating were their eight grandchildren.
Mrs. Werner, the former Lois Carnes, graduated from Youngstown State University with a degree in education. She is a former church organist and master gardener, and is a member of the First Families of Ohio and the Ohio Genealogical Society.
Mr. Werner was a tool and die maker at Packard Electric until taking over the family truck-towing business, Werner Service, which he and his wife owned until 2002. He works for C & amp;C Towing in Hubbard.
