Man accused of raping girls, taping attacks

CLEVELAND (AP) -- A man accused of drugging and raping at least seven preteen girls used video cameras hidden in his home to record the attacks, authorities said.
Roy Pompa, 50, of Brook Park, was arraigned Friday in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court on rape and other charges. If convicted, he could be sentenced to life in prison without parole.
Pompa was arrested after Internet crime investigators targeted him in a child pornography sting, authorities said. In November alone, Pompa traded child pornography files more than 860 times, Mason said.
A Dec. 4 search of Pompa's home turned up a videotape library of his child molestations, Mason said.
Larry Zukerman, an attorney for Pompa, said his client is not guilty and prosecutors have no case.
