Good Hope Lutheran to sponsor Level I disaster response training



NORTH LIMA -- The member outreach ministry of Good Hope Lutheran Church, 12030 Market St., will sponsor a disaster response training from 9 a.m. to noon Jan. 13.
The Level I training will provide an overview of disaster response and will assist participants in identifying areas of strength.
Level II training, which can be scheduled at the conclusion of the session, focuses on components specific to the strengths of participants such as case management, volunteer coordination, donations management, spiritual care, capacity building and ecumenical partnerships.
The training is open to all. The cost is 25 and covers the manual, identification badge and card, certificate, T-shirt and training.
Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio, under the direction of Mary Woodward and Tammy Huxley, provides disaster response coordination and disaster preparedness training in the state and surrounding areas. Two levels of training are offered in responding to disasters locally and nationally.
