Dry cleaner, Goodwill team to help needy

YOUNGSTOWN -- Dutchess Dry Cleaners and Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries are holding the 16th annual Project Wear & amp; Share, a clothes-recycling program, this January.
Area residents are encouraged to bring unwanted clothes to Dutchess Cleaners, which will then pass on the donations to Goodwill. All clothes in good condition will be sold at Goodwill stores to help fund Goodwill's programs. Clothes that cannot be sold will be processed through Goodwill's Textile Recycling Program.
"This program is just fantastic," said Gino Rondinelli, president of Dutchess Dry Cleaners. "Wear & amp; Share brings in about 5-6 tons of donations every year."
All donations go toward funding job training and various programs and services for people with disabilities and other barriers to employment at Goodwill. Project Wear & amp; Share is a national clothes recycling program sponsored by professional dry cleaners and Goodwill Industries nationwide.
Clothing may be donated throughout January at the following Dutchess locations:
Austintown: 5513 Mahoning Ave.
Boardman: Presidential Square Plaza, 845 Boardman-Poland Road, and Boardman Plaza, 207 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Hermitage: Hermitage Towne Plaza, 2311 E. State St.
Liberty: 2710 Belmont Ave.
Niles: 6285 Youngstown-Warren Road.
