Bowker paces Crestview past Clippers, 60-52

COLUMBIANA -- Sophomore Chelsea Bowker, a 5-foot-11 power forward, had 24 points, eight rebounds and five steals to lead Crestview High to a 60-52 victory over Columbiana Friday night.
Elyse Mongillo scored 11 points and Chelsea McCall 10 for the winners (6-1, 3-0 ITCL), who had to ward off Columbiana when the Clippers pulled within five points with 2:40 remaining. Crestview made seven of eight free throws in the fourth.
McCall also had eight caroms for the winners, while Mongillo dished out six assists.
Senior Krista Johnson had 17 points, six assists and five steals, while Katie Douglas tacked on 15 points for Columbiana (4-3, 2-1), while Audrey Davidson collected seven rebounds.
Johnson's total included eight of 10 free throws for the Clippers, who also got nine rebounds from Douglas, a junior.
Columbiana plays in the Brookfield tournament next week with Erie East and Kennedy Catholic.
