Woman shoots intruder

WARREN — A would-be thief got a scare when a homeowner opened fire on him.

The Bonnie Brae Avenue S.E. woman told police she heard noises in her unattached garage around 10 p.m. Wednesday.

Because of previous break-ins, she got her gun. She went to the garage to investigate and was confronted by a man who charged at her.

The homewoner told police she fired several rounds as he fled, but didn’t know if she hit him.
