HUBBARD
Dec. 13
Theft: A man discovered wood had been taken from his front porch in the 500 block of South Main Street.
Assault: An employee of Hubbard High School, 350 Hall Ave., reported an assault at the school. No other information was in the report.
Dec. 16
Burglary: A residence in the 100 block of Hager Street was broken into.
Theft: A man in the 1100 block of West Liberty Street reported a lighted Christmas yard ornament stolen.
Theft: A woman reported the theft of Christmas decorations from her yard in the 100 block of Maple Leaf Drive.
Arrest: After getting a report of a vehicle hitting a stop sign and driving through yards, officers arrested a Girard man near state Route 304 on charges of leaving the scene of an accident, failure to control a motor vehicle and operating a vehicle under the influence. The driver's blood alcohol count was 0.347, police said.

Criminal damaging: A man in the 400 block of Wendemere Drive reported a lawn ornament was damaged and uprooted.
Dec. 18
Assault: A Christian Avenue man told police a Hubbard man assaulted him at Frankie's Main Street Cafe, 368 N. Main St.

Dec. 14
Stolen property: After a vehicle registration check revealed the car had been stolen, police arrested a man, 52, at his Frederick Street residence. He faced a felony count of receiving stolen property.
Theft/criminal damaging: A man in the 4600 block of Logan Way noticed his vehicle's passenger-side window broken. Stolen were a radio, a gym bag and clothing.
Dec. 15
Citation: A 50-year-old Youngstown man was cited on a criminal-trespassing charge after police responded to a report of someone tampering with food, bothering customers and refusing to leave Pizza Hut, 3903 Belmont Ave.
Arrest: A report of a disturbance in the 10 block of Holly Drive led to the arrest of a 20-year-old Youngstown woman when police found out she was wanted on a warrant charging her with three counts of passing bad checks.
Domestic violence: Officers took a 44-year-old man into custody at his Gypsy Lane residence on a domestic-violence charge. The man's girlfriend alleged that while intoxicated, he punched her in the head and face several times; police said they found her bleeding profusely from the nose.
Drug paraphernalia: While on routine patrol, authorities arrested a 22-year-old Youngstown man at the Tallyho-tel, 4249 Belmont Ave., after saying they found a suspected crack pipe. The man was wanted on a traffic warrant and faced an additional charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Breaking and entering: A woman discovered forced entry had been made to her apartment in the 3000 block of Frederick Street through a basement window.
Criminal damaging: Someone apparently used a BB gun to shoot and break a vehicle driver's-side window in the 3500 block of Somerset Drive. Damage was estimated at 250.
Criminal damaging: A car in the 4200 block of Logan Gate Road sustained 300 worth of damage after a passenger-side window was broken.
Assault: A Girard man sought medical treatment after reporting that a Howland man struck the victim in the face at Colonial Plaza on Belmont Avenue.

Criminal damaging: A woman in the 3000 block of Green Acres Drive discovered her car's driver-side rear window was destroyed.
Dec. 18
Forgery: A worker at SDS Logistics Services, 19 Colonial Drive, reported receiving a 3,500 forged check.
Theft: A man in the 4500 block of Logan Way reported 200 worth of hunting equipment and a 12-gauge shotgun stolen from his truck.
Breaking and entering: A man in the 1700 block of Wilson Avenue found out someone had cut a lock to his shed before removing three ladders, two gas-air compressors, a table saw and other tools.

Dec. 15
Aggravated menacing: A Church Hill Road woman told police a neighbor held a can of spray to her face and threatened her.
Assault: A Hazel Street woman reported her 9-year-old daughter's arms had been scratched at school. The victim said another 9-year-old pupil was responsible.

Assault: A Masury man alleged his 38-year-old wife struck and injured his right knee while he was visiting a family member's North Avenue home.
Theft: A Church Hill Road woman said that she ordered an MP3 player and that it was likely stolen from her porch after being delivered to her home.
Theft: A man in the 1000 block of Tod Avenue reported a 700 wheel stolen from his car.
Criminal damaging: A West Wilson Avenue man said he awoke to see a vehicle leaving his driveway and later found that several landscape timbers had been struck and damaged.
Dec. 18
Criminal damaging: A Beaver Street man discovered a windshield cracked on his work truck as well as a driver's-side window shattered, apparently by a BB.
Vehicle theft: A Hubbard man reported his wife's 1992 Ford Bronco stolen while at Nickles Bakery Inc., 420 N. State St.
Dec. 19
Theft: A man in the 40 block of Broadway Avenue reported a power saw, a speed drill and other tools were removed from his rear porch.
Arrest: A 27-year-old Niles man faced one count of aggravated trafficking after being taken into custody at Rite Aid Pharmacy, 713 N. State St. The man had a pill container with 21 OxyContin tablets, yet had no prescription, police said.
