Murders accomplice gets six years

WARREN — Keyatta Riley Hines, one of the chief accomplices of convicted double murderer Jermaine McKinney, will spend six years in prison for her role in the crimes.

Hines, 21, of 2072 Coit Drive, pleaded guilty to complicity to aggravated robbery, burglary and kidnapping in January and agreed to testify in McKinney’s murder trial in exchange for a lighter sentence.

Judge W. Wyatt McKay of Trumbull County Common Pleas Court on Wednesday sentenced her to serve six years in prison on each count, all to be served at the same time.

Riley Hines and a family member of the victims both appeared to be unhappy with the sentence. Riley Hines voiced her displeasure.

Judge McKay had the option of picking between three and 10 years for the sentence.

Melissa Barry, daughter of victim Rebecca Cliburn of Warren and grandaughter of victim Wanda Rollyson of Newton Township, had asked Judge McKay to sentence her to 10 years.

McKinney of Youngstown was sentenced to life incarceration without eligibility for parole in the murders, which occurred Dec. 21 in Rollyson’s rural home. Two other female accomplices were sentenced earlier for their roles.
