BOARDMAN
Dec. 14
Theft: Police picked up a 22-year-old Girard man accused of stealing cigarettes and snacks from a Shell gas station in Boardman. The man was charged with theft.
Theft: Two people stole about 200 worth of groceries from Giant Eagle, 1201 Doral Drive.
Criminal trespassing: Police charged a Youngstown man, 50, with criminal trespassing and disorderly conduct after an officer said that, despite being warned to stay away from The Shops at Boardman Park on Boardman-Poland Road, the man was on the premises urinating in a parking area.
Theft: A woman reported her wallet stolen from her purse while at Mr. Anthony's Banquet Center, 7440 South Ave.
Theft: After being accused of stealing more than 100 worth of merchandise from the J.C. Penney store in the Southern Park Mall, an East Liverpool girl, 16, a Wellsville woman, 18, and a 21-year-old woman, no city listed, were charged with theft.
Theft: A rear license plate was removed from a car in the 400 block of Brookfield Avenue.
Criminal damaging: A man told police someone used neon markers to scrawl profanities on his vehicle while the car was at the YMCA, 45 McClurg Road. He also discovered a crack in the windshield.
Arrest: After stopping a vehicle near Mathews Road and Applecrest Court for having expired license plates, officers took a 26-year-old Boardman man into custody upon finding out he had three warrants for his arrest. One of the charges was theft.
Criminal damaging: A woman left the Southern Park Mall and found two deep scratches on her vehicle.
Theft: Police arrested a 26-year-old Struthers woman on a theft charge after items were stolen from Value City Department Store, 1130 Boardman-Poland Road.

Theft: Officers charged a woman, 44, and a man, 47, both of Warren, with theft. Both were accused of taking four coats from Macy's in the Southern Park Mall.
Criminal damaging: Someone urinated on a seat and the floor of a van at Patella Carpet and Tile, 6620 Market St.
Theft: A sign was stolen from behind Mama Colonnas Pizza, 6784 Market St.
Theft: Gasoline was pumped but not paid for at a BP station, 1090 Boardman-Poland Road.
Unauthorized use of a vehicle/recovered property: A 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix was found in Youngstown after a worker for Treeman Industries Inc., 691 McClurg Road, reported it had been used without permission.
Theft: A purse was turned in at Best Buy, 561 Boardman-Poland Road, though a wallet was missing from it.
Auto theft: A man reported his 1997 GMC Safari stolen from the Southern Park Mall.
Theft: Gasoline was stolen from Country Fair Food Store, 7465 South Ave.
Theft: Someone removed a newspaper box from in front of Arby's, 29 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Arrests: While responding to a disturbance at a Shields Road residence, authorities arrested a woman, 21, and a man, 29, on warrants. The woman was charged with theft and having a fictitious registration; the man was wanted on a charge of driving under suspension.
Arrest: While conducting a traffic stop in the township, officers arrested a Youngstown man, 33, on a warrant charging him with a public-order crime. He also was charged with possession of marijuana after police said they found suspected marijuana.
Dec. 16
Criminal damaging: A man reported his vehicle's passenger-side window broken and dashboard damaged while the car was at Stadium Volkswagen, 7850 Market St.
Criminal mischief: Someone drove through two yards in the 700 block of Ewing Road.
Theft/criminal damaging: A man in the 40 block of Newport Drive found that there was damage to two decorative Christmas trees and that a pair of trees had been stolen.
Criminal mischief: Someone drove through and damaged a lawn at an apartment complex in the 7300 block of West Boulevard.
Theft: A woman in the 4700 block of Firnley Avenue reported the theft of two Christmas decorations from her yard.
Criminal mischief: Two light posts were damaged in the 100 block of Newport Drive.
Theft: Someone took a Santa Claus lawn decoration from a yard in the 600 block of Angiline Drive.
Aggravated menacing: A woman told police her former boyfriend threatened her life while she was at Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive, and at another Boardman business.
Criminal damaging: Someone drove through two yards, one in the 7500 block of Buchanan Drive and the other in the 7600 block.
Theft: A woman discovered a credit-card holder missing while she was at Macy's.
Criminal damaging: A man returned to his car at the Southern Park Mall and noticed a rear window had been smashed.
Criminal damaging: A woman came out of the Southern Park Mall and discovered someone tried to pull the front license plate from her car. The lower front bumper's molding was removed.
Theft: A man reported the theft of his cellular phone while at Cinemark Movies 8, 469 Boardman-Poland Road.
Domestic violence: Police took into custody a 48-year-old Mathews Road man at his home on a domestic-violence charge. A woman alleged her husband struck her in the head.
Criminal damaging: A Stratford Road man reported a front light post broken.
Weapon: A Campbell man, 20, was arrested after being pulled over in the township. He faced a felony count of carrying a concealed weapon after police said they found a loaded handgun under a seat.
Citation: Authorities cited a 20-year-old New Castle, Pa., man on a charge of possession of marijuana after a police K-9 indicated the presence of drugs in the car during a traffic stop. Suspected marijuana was recovered in the vehicle, officers said.
Dec. 17
Theft: A motorist pumped and failed to pay for 5 worth of gasoline at a BP station, 1090 Boardman-Poland Road.
Domestic violence: A 46-year-old Terrace Drive man was charged with domestic violence after a family member reported being a victim.
Theft: A woman reported her purse stolen from a shopping cart while at Kmart, 1209 Boardman-Poland Road.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle's rear window was smashed in the 3300 block of Straley Lane.
Stolen property: A 26-year-old Youngstown man faced a felony charge of receiving stolen property after a Tod Avenue woman said she saw the man with her purse that had been taken from her car.
Theft: Boardman police pulled over and arrested a 41-year-old Farrell, Pa., woman after learning she was wanted on a warrant from Youngstown. The original charge was theft.
POLAND
Dec. 13
Assault: While investigating a disturbance in which officers said they heard someone threatening his father at the Poland Village Police Department, 308 S. Main St., police arrested a 17-year-old Poland boy. Charges of assault on a peace officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct were pending after the teen was accused of trying to punch an officer in the face, kicking an officer in the legs and stomach and biting him on the arm.
Criminal damaging: A man in the 500 block of North Main Street reported someone drove a vehicle through a section of his fence, causing an estimated 55 worth of damage.
Dec. 16
Attempted breaking and entering: A man in the 100 block of North Lima Road noticed someone had tampered with a rear door to his home.
