Six new cops in Youngstown

YOUNGSTOWN — Mayor Jay Williams swore in six new police officers this morning in city council chambers.

They are: Michael Quinn, 28; Phillip Chance, 27; Anthony Congemi, 26; Lindsey Pallo, 24; Arthur Carter, 33; and Michael Bodnar, 23.

Williams told the new officers that they are joining the finest police department in the Mahoning Valley.

Patrolman Ed Colon, president of the Youngstown Police Association, said the new officers bring the patrol division to 117 officers, with 182 officers for the entire department. He said the department should have 206 officers.
