HANUKKAH OBSERVANCE: Sam Roth of Liberty carefully lights a candle on a 10-foot high menorah at the Eastwood Mall, Niles, as part of the observance of Hanukkah. The eight-day festival of lights began at sundown Friday and will conclude Saturday. The Children of Israel in Liberty and the Jewish Community Relations Council of the Youngstown Area Jewish Federation are the sponsors of the 12th annual event. The lighting took place Sunday.
