XLOWELLVILLE -- Dana Nicole Sovick and Lee William Gemma were married at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 11 at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church. The Rev. Gerald DeLucia officiated for the daughter of Frank and Mary Ann Sovick of Struthers and the son of Anthony Gemma of Poland and Linda Renfrew Bovard, also of Poland.
A reception followed at the Davis Center in Mill Creek Park, Youngstown, and the couple departed for a honeymoon trip to Turks and Caicos Islands. They are living in Cleveland.
The bride's strapless ivory silk gown was enhanced with silver and crystal beading at the waist and featured an Alencon lace jacket.
Matron of honor was Michelle Flood, and bridesmaids were Megan Cain; Marisa Gemma, the groom's sister; and Melissa Yohman-Murphy and Rachel Whitaker, the bride's cousins. They wore chocolate-brown gowns.
Best men were William Gemma, the groom's grandfather, and Scott Gemma, the groom's brother. Groomsmen were Frank Sovick Jr., the bride's brother; Robert Pavlich; Michael Ferranto, the groom's cousin; and Eric Zimmers.
The bride graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in applied science. She is a medical technologist with South West General Hospital in Middleburg Heights. The groom holds a bachelor's degree in biology from YSU and graduated from the Ohio State University College of Medicine. He is a physician at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland.
