Aug. 23
Criminal mischief: Eggs hit a vehicle in the 800 block of Squirrel Hill Drive.
Attempted burglary: Someone tried to enter a residence in the 8500 block of Glenwood Avenue.
Breaking and entering: Miscellaneous equipment was missing after someone broke into Solar Nails, 1235 Boardman-Poland Road.
Assault: A man in the 6300 block of South Avenue was assaulted.
Vandalism: Someone spray-painted graffiti on a home in the 40 block of Homestead Drive, and on a vehicle at the Southern Park Mall.
Auto theft: A man reported the theft of his 1989 Honda Accord while at Acura of Boardman, 883 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Fraud: A woman reported she discovered an altered prescription for Vicodin.
Theft: Items were stolen from Rondinelli Tuxedo Rental, 845 Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft: Police arrested a 17-year-old Warren girl on charges of theft and obstructing official business after earrings were stolen from Value City Department Store, 1130 Boardman-Poland Road.
Domestic violence: A 37-year-old man was taken into custody at his West Boulevard residence on a domestic-violence count after an altercation with a family member.
Assault: A worker at Dollar General, 859 E. Midlothian Blvd., reported being assaulted.
Burglary: A man in the 1900 block of Wolosyn Circle discovered a break-in at his apartment.
Stolen property: After pulling over a vehicle near South and Afton avenues, officers made two arrests when they determined that the car had been stolen in Boardman and that it contained stolen merchandise from Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive. A girl, 15, and a boy, 17, both of Youngstown, faced charges of receiving stolen property and possession of criminal tools.
Vandalism: Someone damaged a window at Salon at Creekside, 1149 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Arrest: A Youngstown man, 24, was picked up on warrants from Boardman and Liberty charging him with failure to comply with the orders of a police officer and failure to appear in court.
Weapon: A 16-year-old Boardman boy was charged with one felony count of carrying a concealed weapon and a misdemeanor count of obstructing official business. A loaded handgun was found in his vehicle during a traffic stop, police said.
Forgery: Police arrested a 47-year-old Youngstown woman on felony warrants from Boardman charging her with two counts of receiving stolen property and three counts of forgery. The woman was accused of forging stolen checks to buy food at Southgate Pizza, 5152 Southern Blvd.
Theft: A 21-year-old Leetonia woman was charged with theft after an employee at Giant Eagle, 1201 Doral Drive, was accused of improperly activating a credit card.
Drug paraphernalia: Police arrested a Youngstown woman, 29, on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia after they said they found a suspected crack pipe.

Counterfeit: A phony bill was passed at Dunkin' Donuts, 6041 Market St.
Theft: A woman reported her checkbook, insurance cards and other documents stolen from her vehicle while at Babies "R" Us The Baby Superstore, 1240 Doral Drive.
Theft: Someone took a stereo after breaking into a truck at Frederick Dodge, 7554 Market St.
Burglary: A man in the 800 block of Larkridge Avenue discovered that a window had been forced open, and that a sweeper and food items were missing.
Theft: Money was missing from a cash box and register at Jay's Famous Hot Dogs, 68 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Assault: A Boardman man, 42, was charged with assault after an elderly Homestead Drive man alleged the man shoved him and pushed him between a bed and a wall. The victim's right shoulder was injured.
Auto theft: A woman in the 7400 block of West Boulevard reported the theft of her 2004 Saturn.
Burglary: A woman in the 5000 block of Aravesta Avenue reported someone kicked in a door to her apartment before stealing a portable radio, a DVD player and a checkbook.
Theft: Three Youngstown women, 21, 27 and 40, were charged with theft after items were taken from the J.C. Penney store in the Southern Park Mall. One of the women also was charged with obstructing official business and was wanted on a warrant charging her with assault.
Drug paraphernalia: While investigating possible drug activity at the Tower Motel, 5235 Market St., officers took into custody a 27-year-old Youngstown man. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after police said they saw two suspected crack pipes in his room.
Theft: A man in the 1900 block of Wolosyn Circle reported a cable phone and an Internet modem missing from a laundry room.
Theft: An Afton Avenue woman reported the theft of her $1,200 dog from her back yard.
Drugs: A Youngstown man, 20, was cited on a charge of possession of marijuana after being pulled over near South Avenue and Midlothian Boulevard.
Aug. 25
Arrests: Police detained four men as part of an investigation regarding counterfeit money being passed at Dunkin' Donuts. Two Youngstown men, 18 and 34, and two men from Barberton, Ohio, 20 and 22, were charged with obstructing official business; one of the men also was charged with criminal simulation.
Assault: An employee at D & amp;J Hand Wash & amp; Wax, 8599 Market St., alleged a co-worker punched and shoved him.
Drugs: After stopping a car on South Avenue for having an expired license plate, police said they found a bag of suspected marijuana and two suspected marijuana pipes under the seat. A Youngstown man, 21, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and drug possession.
Theft: A woman in the 60 block of East Western Reserve Road reported her purse was removed from her car.
Theft: A worker at Buffalo Wild Wings in the Southern Park Mall discovered a check had been removed from a safe.
Theft: A man reported his guitar missing from Good Hope Lutheran Church, 98 Homestead Drive.
Theft: A man noticed a check and money missing from his locker at Club South Health & amp; Fitness Center, 7120 Tiffany Blvd.
Criminal damaging: A Hitchcock Road woman found her vehicle scratched and its muffler broken.
Assault: An employee at Lube Depot, 6122 Market St., called police after a female customer tossed a coffee cup at him when she became angry after being told a late fee would appear on her credit card. The man was not hurt.
Theft: A 30-year-old Lowellville woman was charged with one count of theft after $66 worth of clothing was stolen from Sears in the Southern Park Mall.
Theft: A woman coming out of Sears found that a ring, CDs and cigarettes had been stolen from her car.
Theft: A woman left Wal-Mart and discovered her vehicle's emblem was missing.
Theft: A man took a can of motor oil from a Shell gas station, 5135 Market St.
Felonious assault: While responding to a domestic-violence call in the 7000 block of West Boulevard, police arrested a 33-year-old man on charges of felonious assault, disorderly conduct and two counts of resisting arrest. The man was accused of trying to choke his mother and fighting with officers.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle was scratched and its taillights broken at Tinsletown USA, 7401 Market St.
Drugs: While investigating a loud-noise complaint in the 1800 block of Oles Avenue, authorities took a 20-year-old Boardman man into custody on charges of drug abuse and drug possession. A bag of suspected marijuana and a suspected marijuana cigarette were in the dining room, police said.
Theft: A 54-year-old Youngstown man wanted on a felony warrant charging him with theft surrendered to police. He was accused of renting a TV from Rent-a-Center in Boardman and failing to make payments.
Arrest: An Erskine Avenue man, 32, was picked up at his home on a felony warrant charging him with passing bad checks. The man wrote a $620 check at Aaron's Sales & amp; Lease Ownership, 101 Boardman-Canfield Road, that was returned for nonsufficient funds, police said.
Theft: While conducting a traffic stop, police arrested a 20-year-old Youngstown woman on a theft charge. She was accused of renting a computer from Rent-a-Center and not making payments.
Arrest: Police picked up a 19-year-old man at his Indianola Road residence who was wanted on a warrant from Canfield charging him with one count of burglary.
Aug. 26
Theft: A woman in the 3900 block of Arden Boulevard discovered property missing.
Theft: A man discovered in his driveway a trailer that likely had been stolen from Home Depot, 7001 Southern Blvd.
Arrest: Police arrested a 34-year-old Youngstown woman during an investigation in the township. She was wanted on a warrant from Liberty charging her with theft.

Theft: A woman discovered a stereo and CDs missing from her car when she left Famous Hair Co., 397 Boardman-Poland Road.
Arrest: Police charged a 21-year-old Rootstown woman with disorderly conduct while intoxicated after they said she was inebriated while walking through a parking lot at the Fairfield Inn, 7397 Tiffany Blvd.
Attempted breaking and entering: Someone tried to break into Frederick Dodge.
Arrest: Authorities charged a 26-year-old Youngstown woman with inducing panic after accusing her of calling 911 to report a phony robbery at Family Dollar, 4030 Market St.
Theft: Police arrested a 27-year-old Wampum, Pa., man on a theft charge after cologne was stolen from Sears.
Theft: A Youngstown woman, 25, faced charges of theft and obstructing official business after being accused of taking merchandise from the J.C. Penney store.
Criminal damaging: Someone used a BB gun to damage a window to a residence in the 7400 block of Eagle Trace Drive.
Theft: Officers charged a 21-year-old Youngstown woman with theft and obstructing official business after groceries were stolen from Giant Eagle, 476 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Assault: A man told police he was punched in the face while at Buffalo Wild Wings.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle was damaged at Wal-Mart.
Aug. 28
Criminal damaging: A man reported his and a co-worker's vehicles were broken into in the 1200 block of Velma Court.
Theft: A patient of Shepherd of the Valley, 7148 West Blvd., reported jewelry had been stolen from her room.
Burglary: A man discovered property missing from his home in the 4100 block of Oak Knoll Drive.
Attempted robbery: An employee of Key Bank, 5712 Market St., called police after a man tried to rob her of a bank deposit bag.
Theft: Two 50-year-old men and a woman, 35, all from Youngstown, were arrested after a theft at Giant Eagle, 476 Boardman-Canfield Road. The woman was charged with theft, resisting arrest and obstructing official business; one of the men faced a charge of complicity to theft.
Criminal damaging: A man noticed a window had been smashed in the 4000 block of Hillman Way.
Theft: A Struthers woman, 27, and a Youngstown woman, 36, were charged with theft after cologne and perfume were stolen from TJ Maxx & amp; More, 717 Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft: Police held a 27-year-old East Liverpool man after clothing was stolen from Kohl's, 383 Boardman-Poland Road. The man was charged with theft and parole violation, and was wanted on warrants charging him with theft as well as trafficking in marijuana.
Theft: A woman in the 60 block of Homestead Drive reported the theft of an air conditioner.
Identity fraud: A woman found out her account at Home Savings and Loan, 4005 Hillman Way, had been accessed without permission.
Criminal damaging: Two vehicles were entered at Tinsletown USA.
Burglary: A man reported a break-in to his residence in the 6800 block of Tanglewood Drive.
Arrest: Authorities picked up a 58-year-old man at his Tippecanoe Road residence on a felony warrant from Boardman charging him with assault on a police officer.
Arrest: While responding to a fight in the township, police took custody of a 39-year-old Youngstown man after finding out he was wanted on a warrant from Campbell. The original charge was contempt of court.
