MERCER COUNTY Sentencings



Mercer County Common Pleas Court Judge Francis Fornelli recently sentenced several people:
Rhonda McCollums, 35, of North Oakland Avenue, Sharon, got 21/2 to 10 years in prison for one consolidated felony count of delivery of a controlled substance. She was given 278 days credit for time served. Court documents state that she conspired with a man to sell crack cocaine to a confidential informant on three separate occasions in Sharon in November 2005. McCollums was already on four years' probation for a 2003 conviction for misdemeanor forgery for forging a prescription for OxyContin and trying to fill it in 2002. Her probation was revoked and she was ordered to serve six months to two years consecutively to the new sentence. Several other people were also sentenced.
Robert Verbanik, 59, of Chestnut Street, Sharon, was sentenced to three to seven years in prison for shoplifting more than 270 DVDs and other items from Wal-Mart stores. He pleaded guilty to one felony and one misdemeanor count of retail theft in 2004 and 2005.
Trevor Bromley, 20, of Hittle Avenue, Greenville, was sentenced to three months to two years in prison followed by four years' probation for felony burglary. Bromley and another man broke into the Greenville Country Club, 365 Mercer Road, Hempfield Township, on Sept. 19, 2005.
Justin Fell, 20, of Miller Road, Transfer, was placed on three years' probation and ordered to make restitution for felony burglary. On Aug. 13, 2005, he broke into the Campbell-Peterson Trail & amp; Turf, 220 Hadley Road, Hempfield Township.
Katie Williams, 22, of Canal Street, Greenville, was sentenced to one week to two years in prison for misdemeanor retail theft. On Feb. 7 she stole $75 worth of sleepwear from Wal-Mart in Hempfield Township.
