Tuesday, August 29, 2006 Action taken at Monday's board of education meeting: Hired Keystone Rehabilitation Associates of Warren to provide an athletic trainer for events for $7,000 till June 15, 2007. Superintendent John Rubesich said the trainer may not be at all athletic events because some occur at the same time. If a football game is at the same time as a soccer game, the trainer will be at the football game because of a greater chance of a football injury. Designated head teachers at the primary and intermediate school buildings to be responsible should the principal be out of town: Donald Bailey, H.C. Mines Intermediate; Lori Yacovone, North Road Intermediate; Linda Green, Howland Glen Primary; Elizabeth Whetson, Howland Springs Primary. Accepted a $12,000 contribution from the North Road Parent-Teacher Organization for educational supplies at the school; $4,142 from Italian-American War Veterans for the district baseball program.
