Penza jubilee is celebrated during recent trip

GIRARD -- Mr. and Mrs. Naldo Penza of Girard celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Aug. 8 by traveling to The Hamptons in New York for a vacation.
The former Laverne Krumanocker and Mr. Penza were united in marriage Aug. 8, 1946, at St. Rose Church.
Their family includes Tom and Lissa Penza of Girard, Lesa and Chris Soltis of Streetsboro, and Rene & eacute; Penza of Augusta, Mich. They have nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A daughter, Gayla Nail, is deceased.
Mr. Penza, who is known as Sam, served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired in 1972 as an electrician with the U.S. Steel Co. in McDonald.
