JULIE PLAYFORTHGAREE MCCULLY
BOARDMAN -- Julie Playforth, a daughter of Bill Playforth and Cyndee Playforth, all of Boardman, and Garee McCully, a son of Jon and Holly McCully, all of Louisville, were married Aug. 4 at St. Charles Church.
The couple exchanged nuptial vows during a 2 p.m. ceremony officiated by the Rev. Matthew Shelton. After a reception held in their honor at Mr. Anthony's, they left on a wedding trip to Las Vegas. They live in Louisville.
Black gowns were worn by the honor attendants, Carrie Playforth, the bride's sister, and Amy Shirey, her cousin. Also in black were the bridesmaids, Lorey Dreher, the groom's sister; Krista Kovach; Jessica Mansfield, the bride's cousin; and Danielle Pavlansky. Flower girl was the bride's cousin, Mya Shirey.
Kory Swope performed the duties of best man, and groomsmen were Eric Dreher, the groom's brother-in-law; Matt Kress; Josh Morckel; and Brett Waller. ring bearers were the groom's nephews, Logan and Lance Dreher.
A graduate of Youngstown State University with a degree in early childhood education, the bride is a freshman basketball coach with Louisville Local Schools.
The groom, a seventh-grade science teacher with Louisville Local Schools, graduated from Walsh College with a degree in early childhood education.
