DeVincent 50th celebrated at surprise party



BOARDMAN -- The 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph DeVincent of Boardman was celebrated Aug. 15 during a surprise party held at the home of a daughter and son-in-law, Ruth and Len Pogacnik of Poland.
Also hosting the event were their daughter and son-in -law, Caroline and Wes Gray of Hudson. Participating were their four grandchildren.
The DeVincents will continue the anniversary celebration by taking a cruise this fall to Nova Scotia.
St. Patrick Church in Youngstown was the setting Aug. 4, 1956, as Mr. DeVincent and the former Ruth Bucko were united in marriage. They are members of St. Charles Church.
Mrs. DeVincent was a music teacher for Tee Ross Music in Youngstown and was also an Elizabeth Arden cosmetics manager at Kaufmann's in Boardman.
Mr. DeVincent, who served with the U.S. Army in Korea, was a teacher at Fairfield and Woodrow Wilson high schools. He was also a music instructor for Tee Ross Music and a member of the Joe Ranalli Orchestra. He is currently associated with Omega Door Co. in Youngstown.
