Sunday, August 27, 2006 AIMEE PHAN MATT SHEARS FOREST GROVE, Ore. — Aimee Phan and Dr. Matt Shears, both of 611 S. Logan St., Moscow, Idaho, were married at 6 p.m. July 29 at the David Hill Winery, where a reception was also held. Justin Feinstein officiated at the ceremony for the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. A.T. Phan, 6 McCormick St., Irvine, Calif., and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Terry Shears, 7765 Silver Fox Drive, Boardman. After a wedding trip to the Oregon coast, the couple live at the Moscow address. Invitations will be issued for a postnuptial reception to be held Nov. 25 at the Avion on the Water, Canfield. The bride's blush-colored gown was embellished with beading and featured a laced corset back. Andrew Phan, the bride's brother, and Adrienne Shears, the groom's sister, were witnesses and readers. Ushers were Vu Tran, Paul Kerschen, Chris Rutushin, Jonathan Young and Billy Merck, and ring bearer was Christopher Tran, the bride's cousin. Others participating were Anu Manchikanti, Mika Tanner, Julia Fierro, Jerome Conley, Mike Leskanic, Ellen Lee and Harsha Kolli. The bride, who is retaining her maiden name, is an assistant professor at Washington State University. She graduated from the University of California with a bachelor's degree and received her master's from the University of Iowa. The groom earned a bachelor's at Miami University, a master's at the University of Iowa, and a doctorate in English at University of Nevada. He is an adjunct professor at Washington State University.
