ON THE WEB Interesting sites

Saturday, August 26, 2006 Explore cyberspace and your inner spiritual space through these Web sites. www.godspy.com: Godspy is the rare faith-based site that unabashedly promotes its point of view while remaining relevant to all readers. The online magazine tackles modern life from a Catholic perspective, drawing heavily from the teachings and writings of Pope John Paul II. There is a sense of community, fostered by forums and the ability to respond online to the articles. www.mondaymorninginsight.com: This is mostly a gathering place for Christian ministers and church leaders. The insider topics covered include church administration, successful church models and how to run youth ministries. Much of the content is interesting regardless of where you sit Sunday mornings. Stories about trends in worship include an entry on T.D. Jakes selling podcasts of his sermons ($14.95 a month). Readers often post comments. www.movieguide.org: This is the online arm of a larger ministry that reviews movies from a conservative Christian point of view. Reviews from the past three weeks are free; access to the archives costs $40 a year. Films are rated separately for quality and morality. The reviews aren't particularly well-written, but they are stuffed with details regarding content that some might find offensive. www.firstamendmentcenter.org: The Virginia-based Freedom Forum operates the First Amendment Center, a nonpartisan education foundation. Its site is an excellent resource on First Amendment issues, including religious freedom. — Combined wire sources
