Boy may be victim of shaken-baby syndrome



WEATHERSFIELD -- A 24-day-old baby boy is at Forum Health Tod Children's Hospital in Youngstown after he was apparently shaken. No condition report was available late Friday night.
The child is Crashawn Eiland of Youngstown. His parents are Christopher Lanning, 25, of Dogwood Drive in the township, and Ashley Eiland of Fifth Avenue in Youngstown
Township Police Chief Joseph P. Consiglio said Friday, "There's a possibility of shaken-baby syndrome."
The child's injuries may have taken place in the township.
Consiglio said his department and children's services investigators are working together to determine what happened.
Hospital officials notified the department about 9:30 p.m. Monday that the child had been brought to their facility.
