Track: Bristol Motor Speedway (oval, .533 miles, 36 degrees banking in turns). Race distance: 266.5 miles, 500 laps. Last race: Matt Kenseth easily kept Jeff Gordon at bay in the final laps at Michigan International Speedway and won for the third time this season. Last year: Kenseth recorded his first victory in more than a year by winning the Sharpie 500. Kenseth started from the pole and led 415 of the 500 laps to win for the first time since March 7, 2004.. Next race: Sony HD 500, Sept. 3, Fontana, Calif. NASCAR BUSCH Food City 250 Bristol, Tenn. Schedule: Today, qualifying (Speed Channel, 5 p.m.), race (TNT, 7:45 p.m.). Track: Bristol Motor Speedway (oval, .533 miles, 36 degrees banking in turns). Race distance: 133.25 miles, 250 laps. Last race: Dale Earnhardt Jr. bumped Carl Edwards out of the way on a restart in overtime and grabbed a contentious victory at Michigan International Speedway. Last year: Ryan Newman outlasted two long rain delays, 12 cautions and overtime to stretch his winning streak to three consecutive races with a victory in the Food City 250. Next race: Ameriquest 300, Sept. 2, Fontana, Calif. NASCAR CRAFTSMAN TRUCKS O'Reilly Auto Parts 200 Bristol, Tenn. Schedule: Race (Speed Channel, 8:30 p.m.). Track: Bristol Motor Speedway (oval, .533 miles, 36 degrees banking in turns). Race distance: 106.6 miles, 200 laps. Last race: Johnny Benson took advantage of some bumping by race leaders Todd Bodine and Mike Skinner to pass both and win the Toyota Tundra 200 at Nashville Superspeedway on Aug. 12. Last year: Skinner led all but 10 laps and won a truck race for the first time since 1996 by turning back a late challenge from Bodine. Next race: Sylvania 200, Sept. 26, Loudon, N.H. CHAMP CAR WORLD SERIES Molson Indy Grand Prix Montreal Schedule: Today, qualifying, 2:20 p.m.; Saturday, qualifying, 2:20 p.m.; Sunday, race (NBC, 1:30 p.m.). Track: Circuit Gilles Villeneuve (road course, 2.709 miles, 15 turns). Race distance: 214.011 miles, 79 laps. Last race: A.J. Allmendinger won easily at the Grand Prix of Denver on Aug. 13. Last year: Oriol Servia was handed his first Champ Car victory when series officials ordered rookie Timo Glock to let him pass on the final lap of the Montreal Molson Indy race. Next race: Road America, Sept. 24, Elkhart Lake, Wis. FORMULA ONE Turkish Grand Prix Istanbul Schedule: Saturday, qualifying (Speed Channel, 7 a.m.); Sunday, race (Speed Channel, 7:30 a.m.). Track: Istanbul Park (road course, 3.342 miles, 14 turns). Race distance: 193.836 miles, 58 laps. Last race: Jenson Button won a Formula One race for the first time, capturing the Hungarian Grand Prix on Aug. 6. Last year: Kimi Raikkonen won his second consecutive race and fifth of the season at the inaugural Turkish Grand Prix. Next race: Italian Grand Prix, Sept. 10, Monza. INDY RACING LEAGUE Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma Schedule: Saturday, qualifying, 3:05 p.m.; Sunday, race (ESPN, 3:30 p.m.). Track: Infineon Raceway (road course, 2.26 miles, 12 turns). Race distance: 184 miles, 80 laps. Last race: Sam Hornish Jr. passed Scott Dixon with four laps to go and quickly pulled away to win the Meijer Indy 300 at Kentucky Speedway on Aug. 13. Last year: Tony Kanaan took advantage of teammate Dan Wheldon's misfortune to move into the lead, then ran away from the rest of the field to win the Regent Mortgage Indy Grand Prix at Infineon Raceway.
