Aug. 19
Theft: A Wendemere Drive woman told police she gave a Struthers man $1,000 up front to replace brick steps at her home, but he never finished the work.
Aug. 22
Damage: Two swings and glass were broken on a playground at Poland Union School, 30 Riverside Drive.

Aug. 17
Stolen property: Police arrested a 32-year-old Darlington, Pa., woman on a felony charge of receiving stolen property after she was accused of pawning several items at Ace Diamond & amp; Jewelry Brokers Inc., 7110 Market St., that had been stolen from an East Palestine woman.
Unauthorized use of a vehicle: A 20-year-old Austintown woman was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle after a Glenpark Road woman said she loaned her vehicle to a friend who failed to return it.
Criminal damaging: A large rock was tossed at a vehicle in the 100 block of Lemans Drive, damaging its windshield.
Criminal damaging: A piece of blacktop was used to break a window at Zimmer's Duplicating Products, 5411 Market St.
Possible theft: A license plate was lost or stolen from a vehicle in the 700 block of Bev Road.
Theft: A worker at Giant Eagle, 1201 Doral Drive, was accused of making a fraudulent transaction of more than $200 on a prepaid credit card.
Criminal mischief: A Barbie Drive woman discovered someone had poured oven cleaner into her mailbox.
Fraud: A man told police he traded in his vehicle to a Boardman dealership, but the car was never paid off.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle's headlights and taillights were broken in the 40 block of Forest Hill Drive.
Criminal damage: Someone shot a pellet gun, breaking a truck's rear window in the 4000 block of South Avenue.
Arrest: After pulling over a vehicle near South Avenue and Midlothian Boulevard, authorities arrested a Youngstown man, 20, on a felony warrant charging him with passing bad checks.
Theft: A man discovered his wallet missing from a locker at the YMCA, 45 McClurg Road.
Theft: Police arrested a 22-year-old Campbell man on a theft charge after items were taken from Lowe's, 1100 Doral Drive.
Drugs: After responding to a suspicious vehicle on Lemans Drive, police arrested a 17-year-old Youngstown boy on a drug-abuse charge. A bag of suspected marijuana was found, officers said.

Theft: Police picked up a 40-year-old Boardman man on a theft charge. A former employee at Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive, was accused of taking a car stereo from the business in 2005.
Theft/forgery: A Youngstown woman, 24, faced two misdemeanor counts of forgery and one felony count of theft by deception after someone tried to cash counterfeit checks at Sky Bank, 3960 South Ave.
Theft: A woman reported the theft of her purse while shopping at the Southern Park Mall.
Auto theft: A woman reported her 2002 Chrysler Cruiser stolen while at Gabriel Bros., 850 Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft: Six people stole $268 worth of T-shirts and pairs of pants from Gymboree in the Southern Park Mall.
Theft: A motorist pumped $49 worth of gasoline at a Get Go station, 480 Boardman-Canfield Road, and failed to pay.
Theft: Two Youngstown women, 19 and 21, faced theft charges. The pair was accused of stuffing clothing into a diaper bag at Gabriel Bros. and not paying.
Theft: A man left The Sandwich Factory, 6128 Market St., and noticed an automated-teller-machine card missing from his car.
Theft: A man reported his wallet stolen while he was at JJA Car Wash Inc., 150 W. Western Reserve Road. The wallet was found, but $150 was missing.
Counterfeit: A phony check was passed for $3,500 at Farmers National Bank, 102 W. Western Reserve Road.
Drugs: Two 18-year-old Boardman men were charged with possession of marijuana after police investigated a suspicious vehicle on Cranberry Creek Drive and said they found suspected marijuana.
Arrests: After receiving a report of two suspicious cars at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 119 Stadium Drive, officers arrested two 17-year-old Boardman girls on charges of obstructing official business, criminal trespassing and underage possession of alcohol. Authorities said the girls were drinking beer and had fled.
Aug. 19
Identity theft: A Country Club Drive woman reported her identity has been fraudulently used over a 15-year period to open various credit accounts.
Arrest/drugs: Police arrested a 53-year-old Girard man near Market Street and Homestead Drive after learning he was wanted on three warrants from Boardman charging him with two counts of criminal trespassing and one count of soliciting without a permit. He also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after officers say they found a suspected crack pipe.
Weapon/drugs: A 17-year-old Boardman boy was charged with carrying a concealed weapon and possession of marijuana after being pulled over on Market Street. A loaded handgun and suspected marijuana were found, police said.
Aug. 20
Theft: Someone removed scrap metal from Eastern Tool & amp; Machine Inc., 7887 Southern Blvd.
Theft: A customer stole cigarettes from Cochran Sparkle Market, 4121 South Ave.
Vandalism: A man reported his home under construction in the 1300 block of Aspen Lane was vandalized.
Arrest: A Struthers boy, 15, was charged with sexual imposition, a third-degree misdemeanor, after a woman told police she was the victim of unwanted sexual contact while at Marc's, 7121 Tiffany Blvd.
Stolen property/drugs: Three people were accused of stealing video games at Best Buy, 561 Boardman-Poland Road, and exchanging them for money at Gamestop in Boardman. A woman, 49, and a man, 24, both of Struthers, were charged with receiving stolen property and possession of drug-abuse instruments and paraphernalia; a 25-year-old Youngstown man faced charges of obstructing official business, possession of drug-abuse instruments and receiving stolen property. Hypodermic needles, a spoon and a suspected crack pipe were found, police said.
Domestic violence: After a Glenwood Avenue woman reported being a domestic-violence victim and said her life was threatened, officers charged a 21-year-old Boardman man with domestic violence as well as a 21-year-old Youngstown man with menacing.
Drugs: Authorities charged a 24-year-old Boardman woman with two counts of drug possession and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia after stopping her vehicle. Suspected marijuana, a suspected marijuana pipe and a bottle of OxyContin were found, officers said.
Arrest: A Boardman woman, 29, was arrested when police found out she was wanted on a felony warrant from Columbiana County charging her with complicity to theft. She also was charged with possession of drugs after officers say they found a bag of suspected marijuana.
Aug. 21
Domestic violence: A 42-year-old woman was taken into custody at her Prestwick Drive residence on a domestic-violence charge after a fight with her boyfriend.
Criminal damaging: Someone shattered a window pane in the lobby of the Boardman Post Office, 407 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Theft: A woman in the 300 block of Wildwood Drive found out her wallet was missing from her vehicle.
Breaking and entering: A man in the 7100 block of Vineland Place found his garage had been entered and that a lawn mower was stolen.
Theft: A Youngstown man, 21, faced a theft charge after video games and matchbox cars were stolen from the Value City Department Store.
Theft: Police arrested a 25-year-old Warren man and charged him with theft. He was accused of taking a rice bowl from Giant Eagle, 1201 Doral Drive, and also was wanted on a warrant charging him with breaking and entering.
Theft: A 19-year-old Poland man was charged with theft after two cartons of cigarettes were stolen from Circle K, 7103 Lockwood Blvd.
Citations: A Boardman man, 25, and a Niles man, 26, were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana, respectively, during a traffic stop in the township. A bag of suspected marijuana and a suspected marijuana pipe were found, police said.
Aug. 22
Vandalism: A bulldozer was damaged near a wooded area in the 7900 block of Southern Boulevard.
Theft: Police charged a Niles man, 36, with one count of theft after accusing him of stealing various tools from Lowe's. The man also was wanted on a warrant charging him with theft.
Theft/misuse of a credit card: A woman told police her wallet was stolen while she was at Chuck E. Cheese's, 521 Boardman-Poland Road, and that unauthorized purchases were made using her credit card.
Theft: A woman came out of Target, 417 Boardman-Poland Road, and noticed property missing from her vehicle.
Theft: A woman reported the theft of her wallet while at a doctor's office in the 4500 block of Market Street.
Theft: A purse was stolen at Boardman Specialty Care Inc., 5665 South Ave.
Theft: Officers charged a 31-year-old Niles woman with theft after merchandise was taken from the J.C. Penney store in the Southern Park Mall.
Stolen property: After a Stratmore Avenue woman discovered items missing from her garage during an apparent break-in, a man, 23, and a woman, 29, both from Boardman, faced one felony count each of receiving stolen property.
Arrest: Police picked up a 32-year-old Boardman man on four warrants from Boardman. He was charged with two counts each of forgery and misuse of a credit card and one count each of receiving stolen property and theft pertaining to a 2003 incident.
Arrest: A Struthers woman, 48, was arrested on a warrant from Boardman charging her with one misdemeanor and one felony count of passing bad checks.
