CAMPBELL BLAZE
Wednesday, August 23, 2006 CAMPBELL BLAZE The Vindicator/William D. Lewis BIT OF HISTORY GONE: Fire of a suspicious origin damaged three vacant former Youngstown Sheet & Tube Co. houses at 2, 3 and 6 Delmar Ave. in Campbell. The historic six-plex units, built around 1917 or 1918, were the first prefabricated concrete homes built in the nation, fire Capt. David Horvath said. The fires, one in each of the three residences, had been burning for about 30 minutes Tuesday when the fire department was called. No injuries were reported. Horvath estimated total damage to be $6,000.
