YOUNGSTOWN -- Hawaii was the honeymoon destination of Joseph Cerni, 7590 Eisenhower Drive, Boardman, and his bride, the former Tara Maloney, 2860 Detroit Ave., Cleveland, who were united in marriage July 15 at St. Christine Church.
Monsignor David Rhodes and the Rev. Joseph Allen officiated at the 2 p.m. ceremony, and afterward a reception was held at Mr. Anthony's in Boardman to honor the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Terrence Maloney, 5014 Hopkins Road, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Cerni, also of 7590 Eisenhower Drive. The couple live in Twinsburg.
The bride wore a strapless ivory gown, and terra cotta-colored gowns were worn by her attendants.
Bridget Huzicka was the honor attendant, and bridesmaids were Erin and Megan Maloney, the bride's sisters; Erica Cogar, her cousin; Carrie Linn; Katy Cerni, the groom's sister; Jillian Prusa; and Molly Carney-Grimes. Flower girls were Diane Rentz and Neelie Perno, cousins of the groom.
Best man was the groom's brother, Nick Cerni, and groomsmen were Wayne Brooke; Ray Carney; Joe Gregory; Don Augustine; Tom Cerni, the groom's uncle; Joe Maloney, the bride's twin brother; and Michael Maloney, her brother. Ring bearers were Julian Morocco and Zach Morocco, the groom's cousins.
The bride and groom graduated from John Carroll University in University Heights. She is a branch manager with Enterprise Rent A Car in Willoughby, and he is a market sales manager with Cintas Corp.
