YOUNGSTOWN -- The wedding of Pennie Strollo and Trevor Parks, both of 1288 Victory Hill Lane, Austintown, took place at 2:30 p.m. July 21 at Fellows Riverside Gardens in Mill Creek Park.
Major James Foley officiated at the ceremony, and afterward the couple accepted congratulations during a reception at Mr. Anthony's in Boardman.
After a wedding trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, the couple live in Austintown.
The bride is a daughter of Bev Strollo, 5812 Herons Blvd., Austintown, and the late Pat Strollo. Parents of the groom are Marilyn Parks, 5330 Pawnee St., Lincoln, Neb., and Dallas Parks of Fayetteville, N.C.
Champagne and white beadwork embellished the bodice of the bride's white halter-style gown.
A light-yellow gown was worn by the bride's sister-in-law and honor attendant, Nicole Strollo of Austintown.
Performing the duties of best man was Mitch Sherman of Omaha, Neb.
The bride graduated from Ohio State University in Columbus with a degree in pharmacy. She is employed as a pharmacist with Wal-Mart in Boardman.
The groom, a sports information director with Youngstown State University, graduated from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, Neb., with a degree in journalism.
