AUSTINTOWN -- Nuptial vows were exchanged during a 2 p.m. ceremony July 8 as Melissa Renee Forsythe, 167 Meadowbrook Ave., Boardman, and Jimmy Daniel Leslie III, 1947 Laurelwood Place, were united in marriage by the Rev. John Trimbur at St. Joseph Church.
After a reception at St. Mary's Assumption Social Hall, Youngstown, the couple left for a honeymoon in Las Vegas and Hawaii. They live in Austintown.
The bride is a daughter of JoAnn Forsythe of the Boardman address and the late John Forsythe, and the groom's parents are Marilyn M. and James D. Leslie Jr., 4315 Kerrybrook Drive, Youngstown.
Pearls and sequins enhanced the bride's strapless A-line gown fashioned of white satin and featuring a semicathedral train.
Apple-red gowns were worn by the honor attendants, Christine McFerren and Michelle Dellorco, and the bridesmaids, Melissa Atkinson, Amy Johnston, Jamie Nicholls, Renee Pregibon, Jordan McFerren and Molly Mann. Flower girls were Emily and Grace Cripe.
Best man was the groom's father, and groomsmen were Patrick Lavelle, Johnny Leslie, Robert McFerren, Zack McFerren, Tucker McFerren, Joey Forsythe and Carlos Ochoa.
Mrs. Leslie, a teacher with Liberty Local Schools, graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree and received her master's from Ashland University.
Mr. Leslie earned a bachelor's at YSU and is a pharmaceutical sales representative with Eli Lilly Co., Youngstown.
