BOARDMAN -- The marriage of Erin Callahan, 7815 Hitchcock Road, and Nelson Navarro, 6078 Callaway Circle, Austintown, was solemnized by the Rev. Daniel Venglarik and Deacon Mike Kocjancic at 1:30 p.m. July 8 at St. Charles Church.
A reception was held at Antone's Banquet Centre for the daughter of Meg and Mike Callahan, also of 7815 Hitchcock Road, and the son of Mary Ann and Nelson Navarro, 275 Shields Road.
After a honeymoon in Acapulco, Mexico, the couple live at the Callaway Circle address.
The bride's white A-line gown was enhanced with beading and featured an off-the-shoulder sweetheart neckline, dropped waist and detachable cathedral train.
Cornflower-blue gowns were worn by the honor attendant, Lauren Callahan; the bridesmaids, Beth Donnelly, Sunny Hernandez, Heather Jamison, Marissa Kelly, Kristin Miller and Sarah Navarro; and the junior bridesmaids, Lisa Navarro and Ashley Nelson. Flower girl was Kaitlyn Sciortino.
Adam Klimas was best man, and groomsmen were Michael Beard, Michael Callahan, Dante DeLisio, Dennis Golubic, Luis Hernandez, Matthew McFarland and Ryan Stredney. Ring bearer was Vincent Sciortino.
Beginning this fall, the bride will be a fifth-grade language arts teacher at Boardman Glenwood Middle School. She is a graduate of Kent State University with a bachelor's degree in education.
The groom, a rental-sales representative with Penske Truck Leasing in Oakwood, earned a bachelor's degree in business at Hiram College.
