NEW YORK -- The exchange of nuptial vows took place during a sunset ceremony as Rochelle Johns and Randy Tharp were united in marriage July 20 atop the Rockefeller Center Building in New York City.
The bride is a daughter of Joseph and Renae Johns of Mesa, Ariz., formerly of Austintown, and the groom's parents are Patricia Tharp of Johnston and the late Arthur L. (Skip) Tharp.
The bride wore an ivory chiffon gown designed with an empire waistline, a V-neckline and spaghetti straps. She completed her ensemble with an ivory lace shawl, a handmade tiara of miniature ivory and pearl rosettes, and a floating pearl necklace and earring set, a wedding gift from the groom.
Mrs. Tharp has been in retail management for 13 years and is employed as store director of Steve and Barry's University Sportswear in Niles.
Mr. Tharp, the store manager of Gabriel Brothers in Boardman, has a 20-year career in retail management.
The couple honeymooned in New York and live in Austintown.
