NASSAU, Bahamas -- The beachfront gazebo at the Breezes Super Clubs Resort was the setting at noon July 5 for the wedding of Laree A. Elliott of Girard and John P. Demas Jr., also of Girard.
The Rev. William Miller officiated at the ceremony for the daughter of Patricia Elliott of Cortland and the late Larry Elliott, and the son of Regina and John Demas Sr. of Girard.
Lisa Nemtz of Liberty served as honor attendant for the bride, and the duties of best man were performed by Ken Bornemiss of Girard.
After a honeymoon in the Bahamas, the couple live at 1114 Tod Ave., Girard.
The bride earned an associate degree at Baldwin Wallace College in Berea and is a technician at Delphi Packard Electric Systems in Warren.
The groom received a bachelor's degree from Bowling Green State University and a master's degree in secondary education from Youngstown State University. He is a mathematics teacher with Girard City School District.
