Tonkinson 60th observed Aug. 3 at family dinner

XCAMPBELL -- Mr. and Mrs. Edward Tonkinson, 532 Sycamore Drive, were honored at a family dinner party held Aug. 3 at Johnny's Restaurant in Boardman in celebration of their 60th wedding anniversary.
Hosts for the event were the couple's children and their spouses, Edward and Melissa Tonkinson of Salem, Karen and Tom Noble of Chicago, Ill., Eileen and Kurt Reyborn of Locust Grove, Va., Jack and Debbie Tonkinson of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Michael Tonkinson of Hubbard. There are eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren in the family.
St. Agnes Church in Utica, N.Y., was the setting Aug. 3, 1946, as Mr. Tonkinson and the former Mary Rauscher were united in marriage. They are members of Sacred Heart Church in Youngstown.
Mrs. Tonkinson retired in 1985 from General Electric Co. in Youngstown. She is a member of Sacred Heart Ladies Guild and Infant Guild and the Traveling Senior Bowling League.
Mr. Tonkinson served with the U.S. Navy Air Corps. He was a manager at the F.W. Woolworth Co. in Youngstown prior to retiring in 1985 and is a member of Holy Name Bowling League.
