XYOUNGSTOWN -- The Rev. John Keehner officiated for the wedding of Melanie M. Koval and Donald H. Katcher, both of 6847 Lockwood Blvd., Boardman, at 2 p.m. July 15 at St. Columba Cathedral.
A reception followed at The Embassy to honor the daughter of Robert and Theresa Cozad, 2869 N. Pricetown Road, Newton Falls, and Michael Koval of Wooster, and the son of Don and Sara Katcher of New Middletown and Kathy Nardelli of Boardman.
A beaded lace overlay enhanced the bride's strapless white satin gown, and the split front skirt flowed into a sweep train.
A champagne- and kiwi-colored gown was worn by the bride's sister and honor attendant, Jennifer Larch, and kiwi-colored gowns were worn by the bridesmaids, Mandi Katcher, sister of the groom; Jaime Straley; Sarah Cooksey; and Sarah Ours. Junior bridesmaid was Tessa-Anne Koval, the couple's daughter, and flower girls were the groom's nieces, Isabella and Madilyn Larch.
Best man was Andy Billet, and groomsmen were Patrick Katcher, the groom's brother; Scott Larch, his brother-in-law; John Lesniak; and Kevin Maloney. Junior groomsman was Dylan Straley, and ring bearer was the bride's nephew, Owen Ostrow.
The bride earned an associate in business administration and accounting at Trumbull Business College in Warren and is a sales associate with Kay Jewelers in Boardman.
The groom is a manager with Bruno Brothers Pizza in Boardman. He attended Youngstown State University.
