XYOUNGSTOWN -- Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church was the setting June 30 as Laura Mae Rachic and Aaron Joseph Zavadil were married during an 11 a.m. ceremony solemnized by the Rev. Charles Baxter.
After a champagne brunch at A La Cart Catering in Canfield and a reception at the Das Dutch Village Inn in Columbiana, the couple left on a wedding trip to Martha's Vineyard.
They live in Boardman.
Parents of the bride are Alice Mae Gregory and Benjamin Mischey, both of Austintown. The groom is a son of Emil and Janice Zavadil of Columbiana.
The bride's platinum charmeuse gown was embellished with rhinestones and featured an empire waist and A-line skirt.
Wearing spring-green gowns were the honor attendants, Holly and Alyssa Krumpak. Black gowns were worn by the bridesmaids, Annette Ketchum, Donna Gardner Spahn and Jill Pascarella. Also participating were Janet Gutierrez and Michele Vandenberg.
Micah Zavadil served as best man, and groomsmen were David Krawchyk, John Chamberlin, Terry Ketchum and Joe Pascarella.
The bride, who is pursuing an associate degree in veterinary technology at Cuyahoga Community College in Parma, graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. She is an assistant manager at The Pet Food Center, Austintown.
The groom, a diesel mechanic with T.S.I.Western Star Inc., North Jackson, graduated as a certified diesel technician from T.D.D.S. Technical Institute in Lake Milton.
