XPOLAND -- A reception was held July 1 at the Lockwood House in Boardman to honor Adam Young and his bride, the former Kimberly Kovalovsky, after their wedding at 1:30 p.m. that day at Holy Family Church.
Monsignor William J. Connell officiated at the ceremony for the daughter of Sandy Detec of Youngstown and Jerry Detec of Campbell and the son of Charlotte Eskay of Youngstown and David Young of Sanford, Fla.
The couple spent their honeymoon at Hilton Head, S.C., and live at 1618 Medford Ave., Youngstown.
Silver beading and embroidery enhanced the bride's white strapless A-line gown, and the skirt flowed into a train.
Periwinkle gowns were worn by the honor attendant, Kelli Mullarkey, as well as the bridesmaids, Shana Brewer; Sarah Eskay, the groom's sister; Lisa Kadvan; and Melissa Boyer; and the bride's daughter and junior bridesmaid, Alexis McAndrew. Flower girl was Katherine Kovalovsky, also her daughter.
William Mullarkey served as best man, and groomsmen were Craig Eskay, brother of the groom; James Laing; Michael Kadvan; and Mark Lund. Junior groomsman was Christopher Brewer, and ring bearer was Aiden Grimaldi.
The bride is a nursing assistant at Assumption Village in North Lima, and the groom is a coordinator with Ohio Caterpillar in Girard.
