XBOARDMAN -- Carly Stanec and Michael Polder were united in marriage July 1 during a 4:30 p.m. ceremony solemnized by the Rev. Robert Quaintance at St. James Meeting House in Boardman Township Park.
After a reception at the Davis Center in Mill Creek Park, the couple left for a honeymoon at Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, Mexico.
They live in Canfield.
The bride is a daughter of Deborah Martin of Austintown, and the groom's parents are Bill and Linda Agnone of Canfield and Mike and Delores Polder of Poland.
Pearl-pink trim enhanced the bride's strapless ivory satin gown.
Wearing pearl-pink gowns were Erin Croft the bride's cousin and honor attendant, and the bridesmaids, LuAnne Bumgardner, Stacey Luce, Joyell Weimer and Michele Senediak, the groom's sister. Flower girls were the bride's daughter, Kaitlin Stanec, and the groom's niece, Sophia Sendiak.
Best men was Lou Chine and Walter Hurdley, and groomsmen were Ian Croft, the bride's cousin; Dan Martin, her brother; Jeff Kenney; Nick Agnone, the groom's stepbrother; and Frank Senediak, his brother-in-law. Ring bearer was Logan Smrek, his nephew.
The bride graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in education and from the University of St. Mary with a master's degree in curriculum and instruction. She is a teacher at Eagle Heights Academy in Youngstown.
The groom is employed at General Motors Corp. in Lordstown.
