BOARDMAN -- Ron Chick's Friends, featuring vocalist Bobby Remp, will hold a dinner-dance and concert Sept. 17 at the Boardman Holiday Inn's Grand Ballroom.
The big band-style orchestra will play the music of Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, Tony Bennett, Nat King Cole, and others.
Ticket prices are $33 per person for dinner and the concert; or $20 for just the concert and dancing.

Doors open at 5 p.m. with an open seating buffet-style dinner served at 5:30 p.m. For those only attending the concert, doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Italians in concertat Ford Recital Hall
YOUNGSTOWN -- Italian singers Dario Sebastiani and Raffaella will give a concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Ford Family Recital hall, 260 Federal Plaza West, downtown.
Sebastiani is well-known in Italy and in the Italian communities of Europe and South America, and has sold more than 8 million records worldwide.
His repertoire ranges from opera to popular music to Neapolitan classics.
Tickets are $20 and are available at the box office of the DeYor Center for the Performing Arts or by calling (330) 744-0264. Tickets include a champagne and hors d'oeuvres reception during intermission.
Alumni will returnfor dance workshop
YOUNGSTOWN -- Archangel Dance Theater alumni are coming together to offer a two-day Liturgical Dance Workshop on Aug. 18-19 at Ballet Western Reserve, 218 W. Boardman St., downtown.
Registration will be taken until Aug. 15 at archangelclark-green.zoomshare.com. The cost is $75.
The workshop, which starts at 5 p.m. Aug. 18 and 6:30 p.m. Aug. 19, will include classes in ballet tech, hip-hop, modern, African contemporary, flags, interpretive and lyrical dance.
Material will include "The Desire to Dance vs. A Call to Dance," "The Ministry of a Levite" and "Is Dance in the Church for Today?"
Alumni teaching the workshop include Sam Pete, Rachelle Ridley-Steward, Lindsay Renee Benton and Joette Johnson.
Weekend music festfeatures Donnie Iris
PETERSBURG -- Region Zero of ABATE of Ohio Inc., a motorcyclists' rights organization, will have an outdoor music festival at Buffalo Hollow, 51367 Dickson Road, starting at noon Friday and ending the morning of Aug. 13. The event is a fundraiser for the private, nonprofit group.
It will include a bikini contest, a bike rodeo, a bike show, a tattoo contest and bands, including Donnie Iris and the Cruisers, Rick Magee and the Roadhouse Rockers, The Hern Brothers, Future Grass, TBS, Chasin' the Blues and Blue Taxi.

City Fest seeks crafters

Nature Center event
ALLIANCE -- The John T. Huston-Dr. John D. Brumbaugh Nature Center of Mount Union College will host Carnation Days at the Nature Center, a community open house in celebration of Alliance's Carnation Festival on Aug. 17.
A Family Walk and Pond Exploration will kick-off the events with groups departing from the Visitor's Center at 3 and 4 p.m. Participants may view plankton from the ponds with the use of microscopes. Visitors to may take one of two Active Walks, departing from the Visitor's Center at 6 and 7 p.m. A Night Walk will be from 8:30-10 p.m.
From 3-10 p.m., a number of informational materials will be available at the front desk of the Visitor's Center, including maps of the Nature Center, information on the Nature Center's labyrinths, Ohio native plant self-guided trail maps and bird checklists for use in the Bird Observatory.
