XYOUNGSTOWN -- A reception was held at the Das Dutch Village Inn in Columbiana to honor Thomas Philip Wakefield and his bride, the former Andrea Jill Snyder, who were married at 1 p.m. July 8 at Holy Name Church by Monsignor Peter Polando.
Parents of the bride are Lowell and Cheryl Snyder, 2418 Lower Elkton Road, Columbiana, and the groom's parents are Robert Wakefield and Rose Mary Wakefield, both of Youngstown.
The couple honeymooned in Chicago and live in Kent.
The bride's strapless satin gown featured an apron back and an organza overskirt enhanced with satin ribbon.
Black and white gowns were worn by the bride's attendants, Sarah Kollat, Shannon Liposky, Jaclyn Rausch, Courtney Woodie and the groom's sister, Sarah Wakefield.
Best man was the groom's brother, Daniel Wakefield, and groomsmen were Gregory Bossick, Joshua Kollat, Brian Racz and Keith Vogt. Ring bearer was the groom's cousin, Daniel Cline, and ushers were Jonathan Jenyk and Jonathon Kelm.
The bride earned bachelor's degrees in psychology and criminal justice at Youngstown State University and a master's in education at Fordham University, where she is pursuing a doctorate in counseling psychology. The groom received bachelor's degrees in economics and mathematics from YSU and a master's in mathematics from Kent State University, where is pursuing a doctorate in pure mathematics and is a teaching assistant in the department of mathematics.
