XSTRUTHERS -- The wedding of Allison Renee Coppola and Samuel Paul Sandusky took place July 1 at St. Nicholas Church, where the couple exchanged vows during a 2 p.m. ceremony in the presence of the Revs. Phillip Rogers and John Selders.
The daughter of Susan and Russell Gillam Jr. of Struthers and Ronald Coppola of Youngstown and the son of Barbara and Ted Montgomery of Poland and Mike and Rose Sandusky of Struthers accepted congratulations later that day during a reception at The Embassy in Youngstown.
After a honeymoon at Cancun, Mexico, the couple live at 550 Seventh St.
The bride's white satin A-line gown was designed with lace cap sleeves and enhanced with beaded metallic embroidery on the bodice, skirt and chapel train.
White and black ensembles were worn by the bride's sister and honor attendant, Abby Stouffer, and the bridesmaids, Ashleigh Artar, her cousin, and Jessica Cene, Celina Wolfe, Shannon Nock, Melissa Carchedi and Melodie Campana.
Nathan Sandusky served as best man for his brother, and groomsmen were Michael Sandusky, also the groom's brother; Tommy Carchedi; Bob Stouffer, the bride's brother-in-law; David Nemes; Mike Tarr; and Rob Altiero.
The bride graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree. She is a credit manager with Wells Fargo Financial in Canfield.
The groom is a cabinet maker with Integrity Millwork in Boardman.
