Witness says girl's vehicle fishtailed

The deceased couple owned Pymatuning Lake Deer Park in Pennsylvania.
WARREN -- The Ohio State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the fatal Vernon Township crash that left two Pennsylvania residents dead and a 16-year-old Cortland girl hospitalized.
The Thursday evening crash killed Jamestown, Pa., residents Richard Riegelman, 61, and his wife, Wanda, 64, and seriously injured Amanda Allen.
Allen had only recently obtained her driver's license, and like many young people, she was eager to drive as much as possible, said Lt. Joseph Dragovich, Warren post commander.
The investigation has not yet determined if anyone was at fault, Dragovich said.
Meanwhile, friends and family are mourning the death of the Riegelmans, who owned the Pymatuning Lake Deer Park on state Route 58 in Jamestown.
Crash detailed
The patrol said Allen was driving south on state Route 5 in Vernon Township around 8:30 p.m. Thursday when her car veered over the yellow line and struck a van driven by Richard Riegelman, Dragovich said.
Richard Riegelman died in the crash, but his wife was taken to St. Joseph Health Center, Warren, where she later died.
Allen was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, where she remains in intensive care. There were no passengers in her car.
A witness said Allen failed to negotiate a curve in the rain and her car appeared to fishtail out of control.
Deer Park will remain open and ownership will stay in the Riegelman family, employee Megan Davis said.
The park closed Monday for the couple's funeral.
The Riegelmans were excellent employers, said Davis, who has worked at the park for five years.
"They were wonderful people," she said. "They treated their employees like family. They'll be greatly missed."
