Theft, burglary charges bring prison sentences



One man is going to jail for stealing items from Lowe's.
MERCER, Pa. -- Two men are headed to prison, one for theft, the other for burglary.
Judge Thomas Dobson of Mercer County Common Pleas Court sentenced Rudolph Schuller III, 26, formerly of Wise Road, Mercer, to 15 to 30 months in prison for unauthorized use of automobiles and other vehicles and theft by unlawful taking or disposition, both misdemeanors.
Court documents state that on July 2, 2005, Schuller took $50, a lawnmower and a DVD-VCR from a Wise Road, Lackawannock Township, residence. The same day, he also operated a truck without the owner's consent.
Judge Christopher St. John sentenced Willis Vaughn, 18, of Home Street, Mercer, to six to 23 months in prison and ordered him to make restitution for burglary.
On Sept. 8, 2005, court documents state Vaughn conspired with two other men to break a plate-glass window to gain entry to Wheaton & amp; Sons Cleaners, 125 N. Diamond St., Mercer. The men also used a hacksaw blade to try to cut open a parking ticket box in a nearby parking lot.
Others sentenced last week
Denise Boardley, 45, of Flowers Avenue, Sharon, 18 months' probation and ordered to make restitution for criminal conspiracy/theft by unlawful taking, a felony. Court documents state that between July 2003 and January 2004, she conspired with a man to receive government checks made out to another woman, then forged and cashed them, knowing they were delivered by mistake.
Marion Colwell, 33, of Mitchell Road, West Middlesex, 40 days to one year in jail followed by six months' probation for retail theft. The offense is a felony because it is Colwell's third or subsequent offense. Colwell stole several items from Lowe's, 3000 Glimcher Blvd., Hermitage, on April 4, 2004.
Peter Eves, 43, of East Beaver Street, Mercer, 18 months' probation for recklessly endangering another person, a misdemeanor, for pointing a loaded handgun at a woman Sept. 27, 2005, at his residence.
Eric Moon, 23, address given as the Mercer County Jail, two years' probation for two misdemeanor counts of theft by unlawful taking. He also was ordered to make restitution. Between November 2004 and April 2005, court documents state he cashed five checks taken from a woman for $11,922 and also used two of her credit cards in various locations. In June 2005, he also took a snowblower and leafblower valued at $1,000 from a Mercer residence.
Melanie Perna, 20, of South Irvine Avenue, Sharon, nine months' probation for criminal conspiracy/receiving stolen property, a misdemeanor. In July or August 2005, court documents state, she conspired with a man to pawn 11 DVDs, five X-Box games and 200 comic books, knowing they were stolen.
Michael White, 36, of Alderman Road, Sharon, one year's probation for making fictitious reports, a misdemeanor. He called Sharon police April 5, 2005, and claimed he saw a woman he knew vandalizing his car, but later said he never saw her do it, court documents state.
Krista Spincic, 25, of Thornton Street, Sharon, one year's probation for misdemeanor retail theft. She stole a $4.97 pair of earrings from Wal-Mart, 3300 Shenango Valley Freeway, Nov. 13, 2004, court documents state.
