SOFTBALL
Geneva 4-1, St. Vincent 5-0 -- With the split, the Golden Tornadoes clinched home field for the best-of-three AMC regional. Geneva is 28-21 and 8-6 in the AMC North.
Grove City 4-5, Bethany 2-4 -- Bethany senior Emily Patton (Poland) broke the school's career hits record, but it wasn't enough. Patton singled in the second game to give her 183 hits in her career to set a school standard. She also holds the Bethany record for career at-bats. Grove City is 11-15-1, 3-8 PAC. Bethany is 14-24, 4-8 PAC.
Westminster 3-3, Waynesburg 2-2 -- Westminster (22-16, 9-3 Presidents' Athletic Conference) clinched the second seed for the league tournament, which will take place this weekend at Thomas More College. Waynesburg is 12-16, 7-5. Jennifer Pancake (Boardman) threw a complete-game four-hitter in the opener. She is 16-11.
